"Before a child talks, they sing. Before they write, they draw. As soon as they stand, they dance.
Art is fundamental to human expression."
-Phylicia Rashad
Miss Ali’s Art Class is an afterschool art program welcoming both neurotypical and neurodivergent individuals in Hernando County, Florida.
The program is open to individuals ages 4-20.
The classes will be administered by Miss Ali, a BCBA with 16 years of experience developing learning programs and working with children with special needs.
A team of experienced Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) will provide one-on-one support to assist our artists.
The program utilizes a brand-new art curriculum called Canvas.
The Canvas Curriculum was designed by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to increase creative behavior in children with various skill levels and capabilities.
Canvas promotes creative expansion and flexibility, and seeks to increase functional skills while cultivating interest in the arts.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the practical application of behavioral science. It utilizes evidence based techniques to change socially-significant behavior.
Creativity is an intrinsic component to the human mind and behavior. Over time creative behavior and the arts have played a smaller and smaller role in education.
For the special needs community, it is often completely overlooked. Despite this lack of emphasis, it is still extremely necessary to development.
An ABA Art program will provide the tools to gift creativity to our youth.
